Earlier today creator Rob Thomas revealed the cover art for the debut Veronica Mars book on his Twitter account.

The novel, titled Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line, was co-written by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham and will be released on March 25 hot off the heels of the Veronica Mars movie premiere on March 14. Fans can even pre-order the book on Amazon.

Entertainment Weekly, who recently featured Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring on their cover, was able to share some details about the book as well. Apparently the book will pick up shortly after the events of the movie and will surround Veronica living back in California and picking up some of “Neptune’s darkest cases” with the help of Logan, Wallace, Mac and Dick.

Some may think this description alludes to spoiling the end of the movie by showing that Veronica chooses to leave her life and law degree in New York behind her. This may be a bit of a spoiler, but one that makes us very happy.

Veronica back in Neptune and back with her friends means there’s always a possibility of bringing our favorite sleuth back for more adventures.

Buzz for a full-blown Veronica Mars series revival is always in the air but with a novel and a Dick Casablancas-central web-series in the works, fans are sure to get their fix. For now, at least.

To stay in the loop for any Veronica Mars scoop make sure to follow both Rob and the official Veronica Mars movie on Twitter.
