During the season premieres of sophomore HBO shows Girls and Enlightened last night, the first teaser for Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus premiered.

It offered a Veep season 2 premiere date timeframe: April 2013. It’s the first time we’ve so much as heard a month for the show’s highly-anticipated return. Veep‘s first season premiered in April 2012 and had an eight-episode order. Veep season 2 has a 10-episode order.

Watch the Veep season 2 trailer below in which we see Vice President Selina Meyer preparing to make a video. She’s sporting a noticeably different hairdo than what we saw in season 1:

Though the show did not win any Golden Globe awards last night, the show has been well received having been nominated for three primetime Emmys. Dreyfus won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy.

In an interview conducted last year, Dreyfus spoke about her character Selina’s political ambitions and where she may be headed in the future. “Oh she’s going to be veep — well certainly for four years, we know that much,” she said to the Huffington Post. “Although there may be moments in which she’s … well, I don’t want to give anything away. But she’s certainly a veep for the time being. But I’m fond of saying, and I think this is very true, that anybody who’s politically ambitious does not aspire to the vice presidency. There just simply isn’t anyone who aspires to that position, that I’ve ever come across. And yet plenty of very powerful and ambitious people end up in that position, so … needless to say, there’s an inherent tension in that office.”
