Vanessa Hudgens is sticking with Netflix for her next project.

And no, it doesn’t involve a sequel to last year’s incredibly delightful holiday rom com, The Princess Switch!

Netflix took to its See What’s Next Twitter account to announce that actress Vanessa Hudgens has officially signed on for yet another Christmas-themed rom com.

This time around, the High School Musical alum will be both starring in the upcoming film, and serving as an executive producer on the project.

“.@VanessaHudgens will executive produce & star in The Knight Before Christmas,” tweeted the online streaming giant. “A movie about a medieval English knight who is magically transported to present day where he ends up falling for a high school science teacher.”

Christmas, time travel, and an actual knight in shining armor? It’s safe to say we’re sold!

In addition to the announcement made via Twitter, a post on Deadline revealed a few more details with regards to what we can expect from the upcoming Netflix Original.

The outlet reports that the upcoming holiday flick “follows a gallant English knight who seeks out his true quest after a sorceress inadvertently sends him from the medieval era to present day. While there, he soon finds himself falling for a caring high school teacher who is disillusioned by love.”

In addition to Hudgens, Josh Whitehouse (HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel) will also co-star on the project.

Directed by Monika Mitchell and written by Cara Russell, The Knight Before Christmas is scheduled to start shooting this coming April.
