Two of SNL’s favorites, Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan, will be leaving the show after this week’s season finale.

Vanessa Bayer

Bayer posted a thank you message on Instagram today, thanking the show for its place in her life. According to the Instagram post, there was a goodbye sketch at the writers table this week. She has been with the show for seven seasons.

Bayer is maybe most notable for her impressions of Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Anniston’s character Rachel from Friends, and Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy on Weekend Update.

Bobby Moynihan

Additionally, SNL’s Bobby Moynihan will make this week his last show according to a report from Deadline. Moynihan, who has always been known as one of the biggest SNL fans to eventually become a cast member, has been on the show for nine seasons. Moynihan’s exit is likely to do with his CBS pilot being picked up and scheduled for the Fall 2017 season, as Deadline reports.

Moynihan is maybe best known for his character Drunk Uncle on Weekend Update, among many others.

Of course this time of year is always interesting to see which cast members will be returning for another season. Notably, last season cast members Jay Pharoah and Taran Killam unexpectedly did not have their contracts renewed.

The late night comedy show is having one of its best seasons ever due to the political climate and with impersonations of Donald Trump and Sean Spicer by Alec Baldwin and Melissa McCarthy.

This week, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will host the season finale along with musical guest Katy Perry.
