In another clip from the Vampire Diaries season 4 premiere episode “Growing Pains,” we see the Salvatore brothers discuss Stefan’s choice to save Matt, and Elena’s impending transition.
In a scene that seemingly follows the clip we got yesterday, we get to see Damon and Stefan discuss giving Elena false hope and Stefan’s decision to obey Elena’s wishes and save Matt first. Damon clearly blames Stefan for Elena’s impending vampirehood, and (as we expected) Stefan blames himself for not saving her.
Is this little ripple between the brothers the start of more conflict in their tremulous relationship? We certainly hope not. We loved the bond that had been forged at the end of last season, and would hate to see the brothers at odds again.
Damon also mentions giving Elena false hope. It seems that maybe Stefan already has Bonnie hard at work looking for a way to keep Elena human, or he thinks he has some other trick up his sleeve.
Wow! Two clips in two days? We can’t wait to see what The CW has in store for tomorrow!
