Vampire Academy may have tanked at the box office, but it looks like the movie’s official Facebook page has a plan to make the sequel, Frostbite, into a feature film.

In a status update shared to over 350,000 followers, curators for the Official Vampire Academy Movie page on Facebook wrote that they are in the process of launching a plan to bring the film’s sequel, Frostbite, to life.

“We are pleased to announce that we are implementing a plan to bring Frostbite to life! BUT…and this is a big BUT…we are going to need your help,” reads the statement. “To take a page out of the Guardian handbook– it’s time to start training! We have to get a larger percentage of our followers active…over the next 2 weeks, we are going to work on waking everyone up– making sure they set their notifications to get our updates and rallying the troops. You want Frostbite? This is step one. The power is in the hands of the fans. May the odds be ever in your favor…oh wait, I mean: ‘Things die. But they don’t always stay dead.'”

The statement doesn’t give much more details as to how the brains behind the campaign plan to make Frostbite, but with the way they’re rallying the troops, we wouldn’t be surprised if funding a sequel via Kickstarter is an option that’s on the table. When one fan commented on the post suggesting using the crowd funding website, the Official Vampire Academy Facebook page replied back with an ominous, “hmmm….”

The film adaptation of Vampire Academy was released in theaters in the U.S. on February 7, 2014. Despite the hype surrounding the film, it performed poorly at the box office and grossed only a total of $15 million during it’s theatrical run — just half of the $30 million budget the studio spent to make the film. Despite some decent reviews, the low performance had many critics speculating that any plans of a sequel would be scrapped.

Frostbite is the second novel in Richelle Mead’s best-selling Vampire Academy series. The novel continues the story of Rose Hathaway and her educational journey to becoming a Guardian.
