Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is moving quickly with Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, and Danila Kozlovski already in fight training. Now they have cast Olga Kurylenko as the headmistress.

Olga Kurylenko was recently seen opposite Tom Cruise in Oblivion. According to Deadline, she will be playing Kirova, the head mistress of St. Vladmir’s Academy, a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them.

As mentioned earlier, Lucy Fry, Zoey Deutch, and Danila Kozlovski will comprise the leads in this young adult adaptation. Mark Waters is directing from a script by Daniel Waters. Production begins in late May, and The Weinstein Company is distributing.

Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is the first in a series of six novels that have all landed on the New York Times Bestsellers list. There is also a spin off series, Bloodlines, in which the third novel has been released.

‘About Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters’

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger…

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.
