New director and screenwriter Josh Boone is helming the movie, Writers.  Recently, it was announced which actors will star alongside Greg Kinnear (As Good as it Gets) and Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind).  Other famed celebrities will also be making some short appearances and cameos!

Five new actors were hired for Boone’s directorial debut, most notably Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror) and Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall).  Young actors Logan Lerman, Nat Wolff, and Liana Liberato also signed onto the film.  Filming begins next week in Wilmington, North Carolina.

With Kinnear playing a famous novelist obsessed with his ex-wife, played by Connelly, the dramedy interweaves the stories of various family members over the course of a year. Collins co-stars as their collegiate daughter Samantha who is pursued by fellow writing student (Lerman). Wolff will play her teenage brother, who is experiencing first love with Liberato’s character. Bell has been cast as a friend of the novelist who is trying to help him get over his ex-wife. Novelist Stephen King will appear as himself in a cameo, and other supporting cast members include Rusty Joiner and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
