Both of Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World lands now offer “Interactive Wands” which you can use to cast spells around the park to make special things occur.

Wrote Universal on their official blog Tuesday afternoon, “with the correct incantations and motions, you’ll be able to cast spells throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with new Interactive Wands that you can purchase from Ollivanders wand shops in both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. You’ll also get a map that marks all the locations throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter where you can put your new wand to use.”

The price of the wands was not announced, but rumors around the internet over the past few days suggested that they will be priced around $50.

It remains to be seen how customers will use these wands in conjunction with other guests. For example, will there be several wands grouped around each area as everyone tries to get the spells to work? Will customers be able to cast more than one spell at each station? We’ll try to learn more during our visit this week.

In the mean time, check out this new video of Bonnie Wright and the Phelps twins trying the wands out:

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade land is open now. Diagon Alley’s opening date hasn’t been revealed, but media previews are happening this week.
