More clues as to what we can expect from the rumored Wizarding World expansion at Universal Studios Orlando have surfaced today after Universal filed layout plans for the construction site.

What we see is how five main buildings will be laid out, and perhaps offer our first glimpse at what the new park will look like.

This construction site is located at Universal Studios – the sister park to Islands of Adventure where the original Wizarding World resides. Rumors say that a real Hogwarts Express will connect the two lands (new murmurs about the train plans were seen as recently as a few days ago).

Check out the layout of the new park below, thanks to Inside the Magic. Over the past few months we’ve heard that this land will be turned into Diagon Alley and feature a Gringotts ride, The Leaky Cauldron restaurant, and more. You can assume that the biggest building on the map could be where the Gringotts ride will be housed.

Does anything in this map suggest what we can expect from the new park?

The second image offers a frame of reference showing where the land will be built. Could those arrows that point inbound towards the land suggest where entrances will be?

We imagine an official and public announcement from Universal is due soon, considering the various construction and patent files will eventually begin revealing concrete information. The only thing they’ve confirmed so far is that an expansion is in the works.
