Universal and Nintendo have provided a tantalizing update on the upcoming video game theme park land coming to three Universal parks.

In a new video released Tuesday, Universal’s Mark Woodbury and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto shared a bit of information concerning the new Nintendo theme park land. Watch below!

Universal’s Nintendo theme park land plans

“We are constantly amazed how the park developers are bringing the essence of our games to life in the real world,” says Shigeru Miyamoto in the video. “Together, we are building it with an eye for what guests will actually experience.”

“We’re going to be able to create an entire Nintendo world,” says Mark Woodbury. “And as we continued to develop it, that world became more immersive, more involved, more colorful, more exciting, and more interactive.”

The Nintendo theme park land will be coming to Universal’s Hollywood, Orlando, and Japan theme parks. By the sounds of it, all three parks will be receiving the same land (similar to how roughly the same Wizarding World of Harry Potter land is at numerous Universal parks).

While the video doesn’t unveil specifics, we imagine that this same video shoot was used to discuss real details about upcoming attractions. Mark and Shigeru didn’t sit in front of cameras on a Mario set just to offer vague details about Nintendo Land. We expect more videos featuring Mark and Shigeru in the future in which they’ll make big announcements.

The Mario set obviously proves that the Nintendo theme park lands will have a heavy focus on one of the video game maker’s most popular characters. No surprise there, but a big question still remains: What kind of attractions will we see? Will we get a Mario Kart ride? Will we get a Super Mario Sunshine ride?

And what other Nintendo names will appear in the park? Nook? Metroid? LINK?

An opening date for any of the three Nintendo-themed lands is still a mystery. The project was originally announced in May 2015.
