There’s a chill in the air on this week’s Under The Dome, as Barbie and Julia are in an accident, and Sam and Rebecca step up to save the town as the cold sets in.
Where we left off in the last episode:
Big Jim struggled to come to grips with the fact that his wife Pauline has been alive this whole time, but he decided it was time for them all to start over, outside of the dome. Junior spent the night with Melanie in the fallout shelter, and started seeing Angie’s ghost, telling him what to do. Barbie and Julia decided they need to get everyone out of Chester’s Mill, and fast. They gathered some townspeople in the Sweetbriar to fill them in, and assign leaders for the mission. It’s decided Big Jim will go first to negotiate terms, and Barbie and Melanie would come along last with the egg.
The egg started freaking out, sensing danger, and Pauline started having visions again. Jim found her furiously painting psychic visions in her studio, and decided to lock her in there, thinking she was crazy. He heard the egg screaming, and grabbed for it, but it sent him flying back against the wall and knocked him out. Joe and Norrie took it, and it calmed down in their presence. But Jim decided to take control, and lead them to the cliff, dropping the egg over. Melanie passed out, because she’s linked to the egg, and Phil, who’d escaped from his cell, made a break for the cliff and dove over, expecting to escape into Zenith. Only the black abyss is gone, and Phil was impaled on a sharp rock in the bottom of the cave, dead.
