The Uncharted movie adaptation of the action video game series just can’t seem to catch a break, and fans are starting to notice.

Travis Knight, the sixth director for the video game adaptation of the Uncharted series, is no longer attached to the project.

Due to apparent conflicts with the filming of the next Spider-Man film, Knight left the project so that star Tom Holland could play the role of Nathan Drake. Joining Holland in the adaptation is Mark Wahlberg, who will portray Drake’s mentor and father figure, Victor “Sully” Sullivan.

Even though the Uncharted movie is seeing yet another setback, Sony is reportedly still interested in producing the film adaptation, should it ever be filmed.

Jaded, and at times no longer interested in an Uncharted movie, fans took to Twitter to speak their thoughts about the lack of the film’s director for the sixth time over.

Fans are left wondering whether or not the Uncharted movie will ever get filmed. It may be time to recast the role of Nathan Drake, suggest fans.

While the film had an expected release date of December 2020, it is unlikely that the latest setback will allow the production team to hit that deadline.
