Undoubtedly seeking to capitalize on Netflix’ Full House revival, Lifetime has announced a tell-all TV movie, The Unauthorized Full House Story.

Following last year’s The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, Lifetime is now developing The Unauthorized Full House Story.

The movie, written by Ron McGee (who also penned Lifetime’s Saved by the Bell Story), will chronicle the cast’s rise to fame, exploring how the success of Full House changed and shaped the lives of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Dave Coulier, Bob Saget, John Stamos and more.

The movie will also address the darker part of this story, revealing the tension felt by the actors to balance their idealistic on-screen personalities with their real lives.

Some stars, notably Bob Saget, were markedly different from their on-screen counterparts, and were under a lot of media scrutiny at the time.

The Unauthorized Full House Story does not yet have a release date, but is expected to coincide with the Full House sequel series coming to Netflix within the next year.

The 13-episode series titled Fuller House stars Candace Cameron as D.J. Tanner, all grown up and widowed (that family has the worst luck), living with best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) and little sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), who work together to raise her children.

John Stamos is set to reprise his role as Uncle Jesse in Fuller House, and he does not seem enthusiastic about Lifetime’s new movie:

This leads us to wonder if Lifetime will be able to score any exclusive interviews for this “tell-all” movie, or if it’ll rely solely on archived interviews and news footage.
