Tyler Posey and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke are working together for a new pilot for the CW, The Lost Boys.

Teen Wolf may have ended in 2017, but that doesn’t mean Tyler Posey is done with the CW, starring in remakes of popular films from the ’80s, or even supernatural creatures, for that matter. Posey is going to be working on a new pilot for the CW’s The Lost Boys.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, Posey will be working with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke on this new pilot, which is written by Heather Mitchell. The pilot follows two bothers that move to Santa Carla with their mom after the death of their father. Not only is Santa Carla beautiful, but it turns out it also happens to be the den of a huge underground network of vampires.

The CW’s Lost Boys is based on the 1987 movie of the same name that starred Cory Feldman, Cory Haim, and Keifer Sutherland. Posey will play older brother Michael who is not only dealing with his father’s death but the stark reality that he has the same genetic condition that killed his father.

The cast will also include Medalion Rahimi who will play Stella, a local who has an instant connection with Michael, Kiele Sanchez will play Michael’s mother, and Stella’s boyfriend (who is also a vampire), David, will be played by Dakota Shapiro.

If the huge success behind Teen Wolf is any indication, the CW is more than prepared to bring a show from the ’80s into the modern era. And paired with Catherine Hardwicke’s keen directorial eye, this show seems to have everything it needs to become our latest supernatural obsession.
