Whoo. Deep breaths, here we go. Where do I even begin?

First and Second, ladies and gentleman, Robert Manion and Rachael Soglin- Somebody give these two high fives and some Twizzlers! Wow- Manion’s comedic timing… his Gaston was spot on. I loved it, and can’t wait to see more from him. Soglin’s character arc, her chemistry with the other actors, her charisma onstage… what a wonderful, wonderful addition. There was just something about her as an actress and as a person… or as much of both of those as we got to see onstage. I’ve always thought about how cool it would be to meet Team Starkid, hang out- to be buddies with them, and these two stars have refueled that wish, that want.

Third, Lauren Lopez (and the monkey puppet)- Oh my goodness. What can I say? Having seen Ms. Lopez in A Very Potter Musical and its et cetera(s), I was blown away once again. Her Maleficent was really nice. I was a bit skeptical at seeing a puppet in front of her, but then again, I hadn’t watched Team Starkid work with puppets a lot yet. Keyword— yet. After Twisted, I immediately clicked over to their various other YouTube hit musicals… and sure enough, more puppets. Scarfy and the Sorting Hat should have been my few first clues.

Fourth, “Twisted”- That darn song… I almost screamed. I was waiting, just waiting, to go all-out full-on Gloria Pritchett. I knew it. I knew it! I KNEW IT! I knew Jafar just wasn’t enough. Oh no. Brava, Team Starkid, what an excellent way to showcase Ursula, Scar, Gaston, Maleficent, Captain Hook, and then Cruella. I loved it.

Again, Team Starkid! Again! Soon! Please?
