‘The Walking Dead’

Carol: “If you tell, one morning you’ll wake up, and you won’t be in your bed. You’ll be outside the walls, far, far away, tied to a tree, and you’ll scream and scream because you’ll be so afraid, but no one will come to help, because no one will hear you. But something will hear you. The monsters will come. You won’t be able to run away when they come for you. They’ll eat you up while you’re still alive, while you can still feel it, and afterwards, no one will know what happened to you… or you can promise not to tell anyone what you saw here, and then nothing will happen. And you’ll get cookies!”

Jesse’s bright-eyed son just wanted extra cookies, and what does he get? He gets a threatening speech that will traumatize him for life, from a lady who could have been his kindly aunt. The crazy lady accomplishing this in the post-apocalypse zombie world is saying something. Carol pretty much won the universe of awesome with her don’t screw with me speech.

‘Girls’

Loreen: “Your father is gay.”

Hannah is not the only one who is experiencing some trouble when it comes to figuring out her love life. Even her parents, who have been married for nearly 30 years, are discovering new things about themselves. Namely that Tad is gay.

‘Looking’

Kevin: “When Brad broke up with Jennifer he didn’t want people to know he was fucking Angelina straightaway. There was a courtesy gap.”

Kevin and Patrick are trying to ease the world around them into their new relationship so soon after Kevin broke up with Jon. Things are moving a bit slow for Patrick’s taste, so Kevin offers a culturally relevant example to explain his side of the story.

On page 2: ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,’ ‘Broadchurch,’ and ‘Once Upon A Time’

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Mack: “[Hunter] loves you, and he probably will always love you. But I still think he might be capable of killing you.”

Hopeful about her future with Hunter, Bobbi pitched Mack the idea of including the mercenary in their mysterious counter-allegiance. Mack, on the other hand, made it perfectly clear how potent a threat he considers Hunter to be, cautioning Bobbi that her semi-ex would make an incredibly dangerous enemy.

All of which made the end of the episode even more interesting, when Hunter confronted Mack with his suspicions, and Mack promptly throttled him into unconsciousness. Next week is going to be fun!

‘Broadchurch’

Jocelyn: “Lies get exposed in court.”

Beth: “You’re fine there; none of us have got anything left to hide.”

Jocelyn tires to warn the Lattimer family about how ugly a trial can get. Beth is unfortunately under the sad delusion that no members of her family have anything left to lose, and that all of their little dirty secrets have been exposed. You just know that someone is going to find out about Mark’s meetings with Ellie’s son, and turn it around in the worst way possible.

‘Once Upon A Time’

Regina: “Those two may be tactless morons, but they couldn’t magic their way out of a paper bag.”

Everyone is on edge in Storybrooke following the arrival of Cruella and Ursula. The real threat they pose is running their mouths and revealing secrets from everyone’s past. Luckily, as Regina points out, the one good point is that their magic is not to be feared.

On page 3:’Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Elementary,’ and ‘The 100’

‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Jackson: “So play your cards right and you just might get an invitation from me to join The Plastics Posse.”

Ben: “You think that sounds cool?”

Jackson: “I did not… at first. But it grows on you.”

Jackson has an ulterior motive for roping Ben into his plastics rotation for the day, but in his initial proposal Jackson slips into the role of his mentor. Mark Sloan lives on!

‘Elementary’

Sherlock: “You were wrong Watson. You needn’t take care of your mother’s care on your own. You have a larger family than you know.”

Sherlock opts to place an ocean between himself and his family, but Joan takes on the burden of her family’s problems out of a feeling of obligation. What Joan doesn’t realize is that Sherlock considers Watson a member of his family and part of a branch he isn’t willing to cut off.

‘The 100’

Clarke: “I tried, I tried to be the good guy.”

Abby: “Maybe there are no good guys.”

In The 100 season 2 finale, Clarke had to make an impossible choice: execute every single person in Mount Weather in cold blood, or stand back and watch Cage kill her people. Ultimately, it was no choice at all, and she pulled the lever (with Bellamy’s help).

All year, Abby has been condemning her daughter’s actions, believing Lexa to be a bad influence and corrupting Clarke’s goodness. But as the pair reunited after Clarke made her choice, Abby seemed to finally understand that when dealing with ruthless enemies, the Sky People have no choice but to be ruthless themselves: innocence kills you faster than bullets on this show.

On page 4:’Revenge,’ and ‘Black Sails’

‘Revenge’

Emily: “If you’re gonna keep coming at me, you’re going to have to be a hell of a lot smarter.”

Margaux: “You think you’re invincible?”

Emily: “Not invincible just… better.”

Margaux was trying to catch Emily off guard, and get her caught by the FBI. Unluckily for her, Emily is too slick. Margaux is just too new to the villain scene. This interaction between the two women was very entertaining. Nothing gets past Emily, for now.

‘Black Sails’

Captain Vane: “You will turn on absolutely anyone, won’t you? So what’s the plan? Leave me to answer for this among the men? Assume they’ll tear me to pieces for granting access to the woman who stole the girl out from under us… my death sentence. Listen to me clearly. Put down that key, walk back through that gate, return the girl, and I will sort this with the men. You have my word, but lock that gate and there is no walking back through it, ever. And I assure you, you will hear from me again.”

Captain Charles Vane issues an ultimatum to Eleanor Guthrie, who has betrayed him yet again. She needs to hand over Abigail Ashe, or she’ll spend the rest of her life looking over her shoulder. Eleanor goes with her usual pattern of betraying Vane. So will Vane enact his revenge? It remains to be seen.
