Tupac Shakur “rose from the dead” at Coachella last weekend via a hologram-like image that performed with Snoop Dog. The Hologram Tupac, who already has a Twitter account, may be going on tour.

According to the Wall Street Journal, reps for Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre are looking into two possible tours with the Hologram Tupac.

Digital Domain Media Group – the company behind The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – created the 2-D image (it’s not actually a hologram) using archived footage.

The hologram cost between $100,000 and $400,000, Nick Smith, president of AV Concepts told MTV.

“I can’t say how much that event cost, but I can say it’s affordable in the sense that if we had to bring entertainers around world and create concerts across the country, we could put [artists] in every venue in the country,” Smith said.

Hologram Tupac has more than 26,000 Twitter followers since his first tweet Monday.
