Tumblr has released its annual analysis of the year in fandom, revealing 2016’s biggest ships, books, TV shows, music, movies, and more.
The social media network is one of the most popular places to go to freak out over anything in fandom. As such, Tumblr’s 2016 Fandometrics offer an interesting glimpse into what the world obsessed over this year.
Not so surprisingly to frequent Hypable readers, Tumblr deemed The 100’s Clexa (Clarke + Lexa) as the top ship of 2016. Meanwhile, Captain America: Civil War was dubbed the top movie of the year, and Supernatural was named the top live-action TV show of the year.
The Harry Potter series is #1 on the top books list, with Percy Jackson, The Raven Cycle, and The Mortal Instruments rounding out the top four.
