HBO has released a preview of this Sunday’s new True Detective episode, and it looks like the episode could be the best one yet.

“We’ve got a job to do. Off book,” Cohle tells Hart at the beginning. A job seems to be just one of many tasks the two detectives are taking care of in episode 4 which premieres on February 9. In this trailer we see Hart presenting some evidence to his fellow detectives about Reggie Ledoux as well as a confrontation between this criminal and Cohle.

Perhaps it’s just the way the trailer is edited, but True Detective episode 4 looks like it may have some of the biggest action sequences yet. One highlight depicts a helicopter flying over a neighborhood as we hear Cohle say with heavy breaths, “Marty, I need ya.” Another scene shows Hart with his wife in a government building.

True Detective stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as the detectives investigating the mysterious rape and murder of a woman found tied up, wearing antlers, against a tree. The detectives have several problems of their own which we’re slowly discovering over the course of the season.

Episode 4 titled “Who Goes There” airs Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific. The show took a break last week because of the Super Bowl.

The last episode started off with Hart and Cohle narrowing down their suspects, and at the very end we got a look at their criminal: Viewers eerily saw a man walking in his underwear on his property with a gas mask covering his face and a machete in his hand. It was a great cliffhanger, in part because we have two wait two weeks for a new episode. Check out our recap for more.
