HBO has released the True Blood series finale title and synopsis ten days before the farewell airs.

True Blood season 7, episode 10 is appropriately titled “Thank You.” The synopsis reads, “Sookie (Anna Paquin) weighs a future with and without Bill (Stephen Moyer). Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) struggle with their uncomfortable partnership with Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee). Sam (Sam Trammell) makes a choice, while Andy (Chris Bauer) comes upon an unexpected inheritance.”

The True Blood series finale was written by executive producer Brian Buckner, and the synopsis suggests that most of the main players will be making it to the last episode. Although… fan favorites like Jason and Lafayette are suspiciously absent.

Lead actress Anna Paquin who plays Sookie Stackhouse spoke about what it was like filming the final episode of True Blood during a recent taping of Late Night with Seth Meyers. “We had this big, giant scene that’s one of the last scenes in episode 10 where everyone is there. We did a lot of crying and hugging,” she said.

“And then on Wednesday we were shooting an hour and a half outside Los Angeles in a really small town in a church when the season wrapped. By the time we were done the power had been shut off in my trailer already and I couldn’t find my clothes.”

The True Blood series finale airs Sunday, August 24 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on HBO. The penultimate episode of the series titled “Love Is to Die” airs this Sunday, August 17. Check out our recap of last week’s episode to see where things stand right now.
