True Blood has added a new series regular for the show’s upcoming sixth season.

British actor Rob Kazinsky will play “a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders,” reports TV Line.

Presumably Sookie and this new character will put some heat on Bill and Eric, who’ve never been particularly thrilled about seeing their former flame with a new guy.

We personally would love to see Sookie and Bill get back together, but are eager to see where things go with this faerie. Perhaps Sookie will finally be able to stick with this person for the long term, considering they have a supernatural power in common.

This is the show’s second new cast member added for the next season. Last month we learned Rutger Hauer will join the cast as Macklyn, “a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.” With these two castings in mind, it looks like True Blood will heavily focus on the faerie story and the Stackhouse’s backstory more than ever.

Season five was True Blood creator’s last with the show. Mark Hudis took over the reigns, as we initially revealed in May.

True Blood season 6 will premiere in June on HBO.
