The synopses for True Blood season 7, episode 7 and episode 8 reveal that a certain character may not be eliminated as quickly as we thought.
On last night’s episode of True Blood (check out our recap), Sarah Newlin positioned herself as a very important character when we learned that she drank an antidote to the Hep-V virus plaguing many of our favorite vampires.
The two synopses below, released today by HBO, indicate that Sarah will be sticking around for at least two more episodes while the vampires figure out how to save themselves.
True Blood season 7, episode 7 “May Be the Last Time” airing Sunday, August 3:
Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee) close in on Sarah (Anna Camp) in Dallas. Adilyn (Bailey Noble) and Wade (Noah Matthews) find a temporary haven, and unexpected hospitality. Refusing to accept the inevitable, a desperate Sookie (Anna Paquin) turns to unexpected resources in search of a miracle. Bill (Stephen Moyer) recalls the inexorable forces that led him to his marriage 170 years earlier. A familiar face resurfaces in Bon Temps. Sam (Sam Trammell) faces a quandary.
True Blood season 7, episode 8 “Almost Home” airing Sunday, August 10:
With his prey in sight, Eric reconsiders his end-game strategies against Sarah. Sookie puts her life at risk in hopes of saving Bill. Lettie Mae (Adina Porter) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) urge Reverend Daniels (Gregg Daniel) to join them in their V-fueled search for Tara (Rutina Wesley). Violet (Karolina Wydra) eyes payback against those who betrayed her, while an old love is reborn for others.
These synopses indicate that Sarah won’t be letting people drink her blood to be cured from Hep-V virus without a fight. And who’s that “familiar face” returning to Bon Temps? It may be Hoyt, who we see make an appearance in the below trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend:
This trailer makes reference to several of the things noted in the new synopses including Reverend Daniels joining a V trip with Lettie Mae and Lafayette, Sookie’s “unexpected resources,” and “old love” in a kiss between Sookie and Bill.
After these two episodes air, only two more will remain until True Blood comes to a close for good.
