With all of the H-Vamps out of the spotlight, the focus of Sunday night’s True Blood season 7 episode turned to dealing with the infection.

Our recap of True Blood season 7, episode 6 breaks down the events of the busy storyline.

Eric, Pam, and Sarah

The episode kicked off essentially where we left off last week. Eric and Pam are fighting the Yakuza but ultimately get overtaken. They’re placed in a room where they have to watch the sun rise. “Our first sun rise together,” Eric tells Pam before the familiar theme song music kicks in.

The President of the company who made Tru Blood, named “Mr. Gus Junior,” wants to know where Sarah Newlin is because he wants to kill her. As we all remember, Eric wants to kill her too. The two men get into a pissing match over who will be the one to kill her but finally agree – moments before Eric and Pam burn to death – that Eric can do the deed and Gus will receive the body.

We jump to Sarah Newlin who’s in her sister’s home. Her sister attacks her and tries to drink her blood, but the infection disrupts her attempt. Amber passes out for a few hours, and when she wakes up Sarah goes off on a rant about how she’s a Buddha, but then drops a bombshell: She drank a Hep-V antidote, so now she can heal anyone who drinks her blood.

The episode ends with Eric arriving at the door of Amber, who’s now healed thanks to her sister. Eric notices she’s back to normal and demands an answer.

Bill’s infection gets worse

Bill makes a call to his lawyer to get his affairs in order before the infection kills him. Jessica overhears him place the phone call and tries to ask about it, but he’s not forthcoming.

Mr. Compton heads off to the office of his lawyer to get an appointment but has to wait several hours because others are infected with the virus and had the same idea as Mr. Compton. After hours of waiting he runs into a legal snag when trying to pass his estate to Jessica. His lawyer tells him the only way he can do it is to adopt her. The process to adopt will take longer than the amount of time he has left on earth, so the lawyer tries to extort him so that he can be moved to the front of the line. He won’t have it, and after a failed attempt at glamoring her, kills her on the spot. Meanwhile, Bill’s infection is traveling through him fast.

Jessica tells Sookie and Jason that Bill is Hep-V positive. As Jason tries to comfort Jessica and look for holes in her theory, Sookie realizes that she was exposed when Alcide died (and Bill drank her blood – remember?) Sookie decides she needs to go to the clinic to get tested and it turns out that yes, she too is infected.

What is Tara doing?

Any progress concerning Lafayette and James’ relationship is placed on hold this week when the former and Lettie Mae go on a V trip and make contact with Tara. In their vision she runs to her childhood home and starts digging in the dirt. Reverend Daniels wakes Lettie Mae and Lafayette up from their V trip and gets into another argument about what they’re doing. Lettie Mae says they’re going to the South Ward to find new clues from Tara because she believes strongly in what she’s seeing.

Kids will be kids

Andy walks in on Wade sleeping with Adilyn, which naturally pisses off dad and forces Wade to run outside naked. Andy’s anger upsets Holly and Arlene. At the bar later on, Arlene says that Adilyn and Wade are good kids who just need some parental guidance on young love.

The parents begin their search for their children, but Violet finds Adilyn and Wade first kissing in a tree. She convinces the love birds to come back to her place where they can stay the night in peace. This comes right after she cuts things off with Jason, who was about to do the same with her.

What will Sam do?

Nicole decides she’s got to get out of town because everyone in Bon Temps is crazy. “You’re the mayor of crazy,” she tells Sam. She asks him to move out of town with her but he says he feels safest here.
