True Blood is back with a bang this Sunday, literally. The stars are dishing about the steamy love scenes for Sookie and hew new love interest, while Alcide learns the perks of being pack master!
Newcomer Robert Kazinsky, who plays Ben, reveals to E! Online that he was nervous about shooting his sex scenes with Anna Paquin. Playing Sookie’s new love interest can get a little awkward when the actress’s real life husband is on set.
Luckily for Kazinsky, Stephen Moyer is used to keeping it professional on set. Kazinsky reveals he asked Moyer what he could do to make it easy for him. “He said, ‘Don’t! She’s great. Just do what you need to do. She’ll do what she needs to do and just forget about it.’ I was like, ‘I’ll try.’ But it’s not easy,” says Kazinsky.
Paquin talked a bit about Sookie’s new love interest, telling TV Guide that unlike her other relationships, Sookie has common ground with Ben. “There’s a common ground there because they’re both faeries,” explains Paquin. “She hasn’t, until very recently, been around many of her kind that she likes, so at least starting out, there’s some hope.”
What else is new for Sookie this season? According to Paquin her character has grown up a lot. With Warlow coming for her, Bill having new powers, and war declared on Vampires, her life isn’t getting any less dangerous. Paquin says this time around Sookie will be a lot less naïve, “She goes in with a — cynical is the wrong word — but she’s not quite expecting the world to be a beautiful place, which, how could you be after all these odd and traumatizing things have happened to her? She’s more mature and realistic about her situation.”
Sookie won’t be the only one with fresh romance! Joe Manganiello reveals to E! Online that Alcide is going to find some very interesting perks to being pack master.
Just when you thought True Blood had done it all they introduce the werewolf threesome. “This crazy wild three-way…is kind of the beginning and the end of all the perks of being a pack master,” teases Manganiello. The scene in question will apparently take place in the woods with co-stars Kelly Overton (who plays Rikki) and Jamie Grey Hyder (who plays Danielle).
According to Manganiello the job still won’t come easy to Alcide,”It’s the most thankless job in the world except for the random occasional three-way. It’s pretty intense. I think they looked at the footage from last year and thought, ‘Where do we go from here?’ And they figured it out.”
