Actress Amelia Rose Blaire has been promoted to a series regular for True Blood season 7. Warning: Spoilers from season 6 finale!

Blaire was originally signed on for a recurring role playing Willa Burrell. The daughter of anti-vampire Governor Burrell, Willa quickly became a target.

When Eric first came in contact with Willa, he meant only to harm her. However, Willa turned out to have a much softer heart than her father and offered to help Eric. After being turned by Eric, Willa went on to appear in almost every episode of season 6.

The True Blood season 6 finale left a big question mark for Eric and his progenies. We do know that Eric is still alive and Pam is out looking for him. Tara has found protection in her mother, who has offered to become her donor.

When we last left Willa, she was at the party looking for a clean human dono,r unknowing that a horde of infected vampires were closing in.

Showrunner Brian Buckner tells TV Line that fans can expect the show to return to the basis of seeing if vampires and humans can co-exist.

Buckner explains, “These are complicated relationships now because they’re feeding – it’s not necessarily sex, but things get confused sometimes, especially in vampires’ minds – so you’re going to be looking at a number of complicated three-way, four-way relationships.”

Are you glad to see Blaire as a series regular on ‘True Blood’ season 7?
