We’re exclusively revealing artwork, the prologue, and the first chapter from the illustrated novel Trollhunters by Guillermo del Toro and Daniel Kraus.

About the book

“There are things out there, you see, that don’t cower in holes to be captured by us and cooked over our fires. These things have their own ways of trapping their kills, their own fires, their own appetites.”

When a 45-year old mystery resurfaces, threatening the lives of everyone, in the seemingly sleepy town of San Bernardino, teenager Jim Sturges’ life is about to change—forever. With horror now on the horizon, Jim will go from typical teen to Trollhunter, and he’ll have to team up with a band of some of the most unlikely (and some un-human) heroes to battle the monsters he never knew existed and muster up the courage he never knew he had. Will the gang be able to survive, or become the food and fears these beasts love to feed on?

The art itself, from Sean A. Murray, is a perfect blend of grotesque and whimsical, with a dash of color and just enough horror to send a tingle down your spine.
