Adam Lastiwka’s soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s Travelers is released Friday, coinciding with the premiere of season 3!
In its second season, Netflix’s time travel series Travelers continues its reinvention of the 21st century. The series stars Eric McCormack as one of the “travelers” who return to our time, going undercover to save humanity from a terrible future.
Hailed the must-see sci-fi show on Netflix by Cinemablend, with Forbes deeming season 2 “bigger and better” than season 1, Travelers is certainly gathering high praise — and so is its soundtrack.
Composed by Adam Lastiwka, who also recently released the album Come Back to Earth With Me, the Travelers season 2 soundtrack features 21 tracks of evocative themes and motifs meant to enhance the journey and emotional worlds of the characters.
The electronic sequences, samplers, computer-based software, and array of different musical instruments creates the perfect backdrop for the futuristic atmosphere depicted within the series.
Season 3 of Travelers hits Netflix this Friday, December 14, and so does the soundtrack for season 2. We’ve got two tracks to premiere from the soundtrack ahead of its release, which you can listen to below:

In a press release, Lastiwka says of the Travelers season 2 soundtrack:
“Having the opportunity and freedom to create a number of sound collages for Travelers has been a truly exceptional experience. The [‘Travelers’] season two soundtrack demonstrates the depth of the themes. Anyone familiar with the second season will be able to pick out their favorite character themes and find more familiar sonic territory.”
Travelers creator Brad Wright says of Lastiwka’s score:

The Travelers soundtrack will be available through all major digital retailers, released through Lakeshore Records.
In addition to the soundtrack, Lastiwka will also release a streamable 27-minute continuous mix of music from season 1. The track will consist of every piece of music from season 1, episode 3, as a continuous cue. It will be available on Bandcamp through Lakeshore Records on December 14.
Travelers season 3 will begin streaming Friday, December 14 on Netflix. The season 3 soundtrack is planned for release in early 2019.
