Netflix’s new show, Brainchild, is all about asking big questions about the universe, science, and more, and the trailer has got us so ready for the show to premiere.

For those of us who grew up watching Bill Nye the Science Guy, we can all attest to the power of a television show to get kids interested in science and spark their curiosity and creativity enough to get them asking big questions of the universe. In Netflix’s new show, Brainchild, they hope to bring that same kind of scientific wonder, curiosity, and creativity to kids and grown-ups alike.

The first trailer for Brainchild just released, and the show looks like it will be a ton of fun for kids to watch. With the help of host Sahana Srinivasan, kids are going to be encouraged to think about the universe, ask big questions, and get creative when it comes to figuring out how to find the answers to their questions.

But this isn’t meant to just be a show that will get kids thinking for the duration of the program. Brainchild is truly meant to be a show to help kids learn, think, and grow.

To that end, the team behind the show, including executive producer Pharrell Williams, have also created classroom-ready materials for 3rd through 8th grade students to accompany each episode of the show. As Entertainment Weekly reports, the classroom materials are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core Learning Standards, and National Health Standards, making sure that the show isn’t just fun, but truly educational.

Brainchild looks like it is going to be a blast for kids and adults to watch together, and we love that there is a new STEAM-focused show that doesn’t just inspire a desire to learn, but it also seeks to truly empower kids. The show premieres on Netflix on November 2, so be sure your queues are ready!
