Savvy fans may have picked up on the fact that Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch has become very close friends with several of Team StarKid, particularly the LA-based members of the group. Today the trailer was released for Apex, an independent feature film that Evanna stars in alongside StarKid Devin Lytle.

Apex focuses on five friends surviving in LA as a human evolution-changing virus spreads across the United States. Alongside Evanna and Devin, the film features Yuri Sardarov and Charlie Barnett, who will both appear in the upcoming NBC series Chicago Fire, and also stars Brent Antonello. It was created by Cory Braun, Derek  Weissbein and Yuri Sardarov, directed by Braun and written by Weissbein.

Braun revealed to Hypable that while Apex is currently a feature film, the team have hopes to turn the project into a TV series with the film serving as a pilot.
