30 Rock star and comedian Tracy Morgan is in “critical condition” following a six-car pile up on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Morgan and friends were returning from a performance by the actor in Delaware when the accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

According to USA Today, Morgan’s bus was “one of the six vehicles impacted when the driver of a tractor-trailer came upon slow-moving traffic in the northbound lanes at Exit 7A near Cranbury Township and was unable to stop in time.”

Morgan was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he remains in critical condition this morning.

Said the comedian’s family in a statement, “Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware. His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don’t anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available.”

Morgan is 45 years old and is currently developing a new comedy for FXX. He received a full series order for the show in April.

We’ll share updates on his condition as new information is released.
