A publicist for Tracy Morgan has provided an update on the condition of the comedian following a serious car crash he was involved in over the weekend.

Lewis Kay told CNN on Sunday that Morgan suffered several broken bones including broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken leg, and a broken femur. He is expected to remain in the hospital for “several weeks.” While he’s still in critical condition, he is reportedly showing signs of improvement.

Morgan was riding in his limo bus on the way home from a show in Delaware when his vehicle and five others were involved in a pile up caused by a truck driver.

Kevin Roper is the driver of the truck, and was operating the vehicle for Walmart. He turned himself into police on Saturday. Walmart said they would take full responsibility if the investigation finds that he definitively caused the accident.

Investigators revealed in a recent press conference that Roper “failed to observe slow-moving traffic ahead,” according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Gregory Williams. “At the last minute, he swerved to try and avoid the Mercedes limo bus but struck it from behind, forcing the limo to rotate and overturn.”

Comedian Jimmy Mack was riding in the limo bus with Morgan and died. Several others were also injured.

Morgan, who’s 45 years old, is best known for his roles on NBC comedies Saturday Night Live and more recently 30 Rock.
