Rumors of Toy Story 4 have been around ever since Tom Hanks said the studio is trying to make it happen, and today an Argentinian news source says the studio has now confirmed the news.

Terra goes so far to say that Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), and Joan Cusack (Jessie) have all been confirmed for the film and a 2015 release is planned.

UPDATE: Disney has told Hypable that they are “investigating the source of this information in South America as nothing has officially been announced.” They have no further comment.

If true, all signs have pointed to this happening for some time. Pixar has kept the Toy Story franchise ticking by creating several short films in their “Toy Story Toons” series, and each one premiered in front of a Disney or Pixar film. In addition, a Toy Story television special Toy Story of Terror is planned for October 2013.

Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter was asked about these rumors back in June 2011, and he did not deny them by any means. “Yeah. I found [Hanks’ remarks] very interesting too. Yeah, it was really interesting. He’s uh.. yeah. We haven’t announced anything so can’t really talk – no.”
