Here are several things to look forward to in the season finale or even in season/book two of Legend of Korra.

In no particular order…

1. Who is Amon?

From what I understand, (spoiler) Amon will not be the main villain in season 2. I think we are going to find out in this week’s finale who he is. One can hope it lives up to the hype and mystery surrounding his identity.

2. Avatar state

This is what I’m looking forward to the most. I loved badass Aang in avatar state. They were some of my favorite scenes and I would love Korra in the avatar state. It’s Less about seeing her do some amazing bending and more to see the reaction of others, particularly Team Avatar’s. Sometimes when I watch episodes, I don’t always feel like everyone quite gets that Korra is the Avatar, I mean there are exceptions, but nonetheless I really want to see this.

3. Aang spirit

We have had some contact with Aang already, but I would love a full out conversation between him and Korra like Aang had with Roku. Just that connection with a past life that really gets what it is like would be really good for Korra.

4. Zuko

So we know Zuko is alive and kicking, retired, but still kicking. I would love an appearance from old Zuko! Not only would I love an appearance from Zuko, I would love a scene where he and Katara meet up and just kick some equalist ass. Just because they’re old doesn’t mean they’re any less strong. Uncle Iroh and Bumi proved that point.

5. Ursa

The most annoying unanswered question ever. This has been driving me crazy for years; I need to know what happened! The writers have even dangled it over our heads when Katara briefly mentioned it in the new series only for Ikki to interrupt her! If Ikki wasn’t so awesome I would hate her for it.

6. Kya and Bumi

While we’re not sure of the current status of these two, or even if they’re alive, I would love to see an appearance from Tenzin’s older siblings. The interaction would be great and I would love to see what Bumi has done with his life as he is not a bender. Maybe he’ll take after his Uncle Sokka? My current guess is that Kya is in the northern water tribe.

7. Korra and Mako

Asami has grown on me since her first appearance and while I do like her, Korra and Mako need to happen. There have been lots of tender moments between them, and lots of hints and a jealous Asami. It needs to happen. I also think having Korra deal with being the avatar and being in a relationship would be interesting.

8. The Spirit world

I always really like the spirit world in the original avatar, not only for the art, but the spirits themselves and what inspired the writers to create them, a personal favorite of mine being Koh. If Korra bending is temporarily blocked off I feel like we’re definitely going to be taken on a journey through the spirit world.

9. Is Amon really taking away people’s bending?

For the most part it seems the fandom is in agreement that Amon isn’t permanently taking away people’s bending, just blocking their chi or telling their mind they can’t bend. I would like to point out though that Amon does not seem to have tried (or won’t try) taking away an air bender’s bending. I know he tried to capture Tenzin and his family, but that may have been more about politics and symbolism.

My personal theory is that because air benders are so connected with the spirit world and understanding the flow of their chi, they would be able to figure out how to unblock their chi, but, I think we will be finding out the truth in the weekend’s season finale, so it’s just a matter or waiting.

As we all wait in anticipation for this weekend, going spoiler crazy and coming up with theories about what will happen, I thought I’d add my thoughts to the mix. Will Mako and Asami break up? Will Mako and Korra get together? Is Tenzin’s family going to be okay? Is Iroh going to make it in time? Will someone finally give Amon the kick in the balls he deserves?

We’ll just have to wait and see! The season finale airs Saturday at 11 AM ET/PT on Nick!
