The live rounds kick off next week, so tonight the coaches much finish narrowing down their teams to the very best of the best.

The live shows are right around the corner, and the coaches have a little more work to do before their teams are ready to go live. We’ll see a few more knockout battles pairing two contestants from the same team, each singing a different song, before their coach chooses one winner to advance to the lives. However, there is one steal left, and good ol’ Blake will have his chance to take one of the eliminated contestants for his own team.

Taylor Swift is back as adviser, to help the coaches prepare their contestants for their knockout performances. Taylor has actually proven to be an awesome adviser, providing a lot of helpful performance advice to the contestants, helping them become more confident, portray the emotion and message of their song, and connect with the audience.

Final knockouts preview

The final knockout performances will be some of the best yet, and will have the coaches caught between a rock and a hard place, as they’re forced to make some very tough decisions between some very talented contestants.

Taylor’s barefoot breakthrough

Allison Bray’s performance of the Dixie Chick’s “Sin Wagon” was a little bit uptight, so Taylor told her to take her giant platform shoes off so she could work the stage and act crazy like the narrator of the song. Allison seemed quite frankly a little frightened of Taylor, but took her advice, and Coach Blake was pleased.

Knockout battle sneak peek – Anita vs. Craig

These two early standouts battle for the chance to represent Team Gwen in the live rounds. Anita and Gwen were a match made in heaven, but Craig only just joined Team Gwen after she stole him in the battle rounds. Anita chose Magic’s “Rude” for her battle performance, and Craig chose The Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See.” Ever since Anita earned four chair turns in the blinds, she’s been a coach favorite, but she by no means runs over Craig in this knockout battle, as he turns out a surprisingly powerful performance.
