Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 3 airs tonight on ABC! Here’s what you need to know about Simmons’ mysterious whereabouts in “Making Friends and Influencing People.”
Agent Simmons will make her long-awaited return in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 3 – but whose side is she really on? According to the synopsis for “Making Friends and Influencing People,” the biochemist’s loyalties – and possibly her life – may be threatened by a familiar face.
“Coulson and his team race against Hydra to get to Donnie Gill – a dangerous gifted with the ability to freeze objects,” ABC says, “While Simmons is caught in the crossfire.”
Last week on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson and crew tried in vain to retrieve the mysterious Obelisk from Carl Creel. Unfortunately, the bizarre object wound up in the hands (literally) of Raina and Skye’s bloody-handed dad.
But Team Coulson did get a few wins. Fitz bonded with Mack and managed to find a device to neutralize Creel, while (to the surprise of absolutely no one) Coulson recruited Lance Hunter to S.H.I.E.L.D. But with the Director still carving those alien patterns on the wall, will one more Brit really make a difference?
The preview for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 3 focuses on a few British people, including Daniel Whitehall’s creepy associate, and Agent Simmons… who is hopefully not another of Whitehall’s associates.
Oh, and there’s brainwashing! That’s always fun.
Two sneak peeks from “Making Friends and Influencing People” reveal both Simmons’ exact whereabouts, and a juicy new scene between Skye and her least-favorite-person-except-for-maybe-Simmons-now, Ward. The still photos also offer a look as Dylan Minette as Donnie Gill, in addition to suggesting tension among the team.
