NBC heading toward a new approach for the premieres of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Television fans who opt in to a special premium tier of NBC’s forthcoming streaming service, Peacock, will have the added benefit of getting to tune in to their favorite late-night shows a bit early.

According to Vulture, NBC plans to air the premiere telecasts for both The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers via Peacock Premium beginning in July.

Dubbed the “late night early” feature, both shows will first stream every night via the special premium tier at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET, respectively.

From there, each show’s nightly episode will stream three hours later during their normal time slots via traditional broadcast television on NBC.

The ability to stream both late-night mainstays earlier on in the evening will mark the first time fans on the west coast will be able to catch Tonight Show and Late Night at the same time as their east coast counterparts.

The surprise move was first announced as part of Peacock’s investor’s conference, which took place earlier on Thursday, January 16.

During the conference, NBC also broke down each of Peacock’s forthcoming tiers.

The ad-supported Peacock Free will (as the title suggests) be free of charge, and is set to feature over 7,500 hours of programming. Meanwhile, Peacock Premium (the tier at which you can take advantage of the new “late night early” feature) will set you back $4.95 per month with ads, or $9.95 per month without ads.

Customers of Comcast and Cox will receive Peacock Premium at no additional cost as part of an upcoming bundle with authenticated cable subscribers.
