Don’t miss tonight’s double-bill of Selfie – no, seriously, don’t miss these two episodes. They’re amazing.

After taking a week off, Selfie season 1, episodes 5 and 6 air tonight at 8/7c on ABC.

The cancellation of Manhattan Love Story has left the 8.30 p.m. timeslot empty, and Selfie fans are lucky enough to get two episodes in one sitting tonight, before Modern Family repeats will begin airing in Manhattan‘s time slot.

This is the perfect time to start watching Selfie, if you haven’t yet had a chance to check it out – and if you gave up after the pilot, we recommend giving it a second chance!

The first half hour, “Even Hell Has Two Bars,” sees Henry (John Cho) and Eliza (Karen Gillan) spend a weekend at Sam Saperstein (David Harewood)’s mansion, where Henry will do everything in his power to land a promotion.

But Eliza has other plans: namely, to relax, and to make sure Henry does the same.

In the second episode, “Never Block Cookies,” Eliza and Charmonique (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) will conspire to set Henry up on a date, when Eliza decides that he’s clearly tightly wound and needs to, er, relax.

Viewers that have stuck with Selfie for the past four weeks tend to agree that the show is quickly finding its footing; more than being about social media or the digital lifestyle, Selfie is about the relationship between Eliza and Henry. Modern technology meets traditional values, a work-a-holic meets a party-holic (are those words? Oh well, #yolo), etc.

And it’s so full of heart, it’s almost impossible not to love it.

Expect more moments between Eliza and Henry, awesome side stories featuring Saperstein and Charmonique, and lots of laugh-out-loud moments.
