In the second episode of Selfie, Henry joins Facebook while Eliza joins… a book club.

In the spirit of trying new things, both Eliza (Karen Gillan) and Henry (John Cho) are stepping out of their comfort zones in Selfie season 1, episode 2, “Un-Tag My Heart.”

In the pilot episode, we learned how these two very different people’s paths crossed: the “app-sessed” Eliza had an unfortunate incident on the plane, which her colleagues broadcast on the internet, making her the laughing stock in the office.

Eliza approached Henry, a social media skeptic and marketing genius who also works at the company, and asked him to help her re-brand herself. He agreed, on the condition that she attended his boss’ wedding with him. The outing was not a success, but it showed Eliza how much she needed Henry – and at the end of the episode we saw Henry starting to realise that he needs someone like Eliza to brighten up his life.

The second episode is titled “Un-Tag My Heart,” and picks up where the pilot left off.

ABC writes of the episode, “Eliza’s fling with her co-worker Freddy gets complicated, and Henry explores Facebook for the first time with disastrous results.”

The promotional pictures show Eliza joining the book club girls (led by Bryn, who is played by Allyn Rachel) for a session. They look surprised to see her there, dressed exactly like them. But we’re sure they’ll welcome her into their posse – if she doesn’t manage to screw it up for herself.

Despite its mediocre ratings and controversial title, viewers have generally expressed surprise at how much they enjoyed the first episode of Selfie. Let’s hope the second one continues to hold people’s interest!

Selfie season 1, episode 2, “Un-Tag My Heart,” airs tonight at 8/7c on ABC!
