With Neal in some serious trouble and Reese’s half-siblings trying to take controlling interest in the company to sell it to a third party, The Newsroom season 3, episode 2 is heating things up.

Last episode ended with a bang as everything seemed to go wrong at once. Now, we will see the News Night staffers try to figure out where to go from here. Tonight’s episode provides a few new complications of its own, too, so things are basically not going well for Atlantis World Media. Not well at all.

Tonight we get our first doses of Kat Dennings as Reese’s half sibling Blair, and Mary McCormick as FBI agent Molly. There have been a lot of great performances already this season, and we are more than excited to see what Sorkin and company have in store for the series’ final five episodes.

After last week’s premiere, we are optimistic that The Newsroom season 3 will be a real return to form and will send our favorite characters off with a bang. We may be sad to know that the end is nigh, but as long as the story stays as consistently good as last week’s, we will definitely be tuning in.

Synopsis

Check out the synopsis for tonight’s episode, which doesn’t tell much, but gives a general idea of what to expect.

“With Rebecca (Marcia Gay Harden) again tasked with defending ACN in a possible lawsuit, Will tries to protect Neal from the fallout over the DOD leak. Charlie (Sam Waterston) and Leona (Jane Fonda) enter the fray of a hostile-takeover gambit involving Reese’s (Chris Messina) half-siblings, Blair (Kat Dennings) and Randy Lansing (Chris Smith). Sloan fears Don (Thomas Sadoski) may be guilty of cashing in on insider information; Maggie ponders the ethics of eavesdropping; Hallie (Grace Gummer) pays a price for a late-night tweet.”
