It’s Danny and Mindy’s first Christmas as a couple! They have a decorated tree and Danny’s apartment – and a bunch of shredded paper? Here is our best guess about what happens tonight on The Mindy Project: Mindy, snooping or looking for something, goes through Danny’s shredded papers, sees a few words related to proposing and marriage, and jumps to conclusions. It’s a bit Homeland, for the show, and she did just jump to conclusions last week about Danny wanting to expand his apartment for ‘family’ but who knows.
Unfortunately, The Mindy Project has not released any clips from tonight’s “Christmas” episode, but let us revisit last year’s Christmas episode and the now-famous Danny Castellano dance routine. This was one of the first real indications that Mindy and Danny would definitively be heading down a romantic path, and the second half of season 2 certainly did not disappoint! (The video below was the best quality we could find.)
The synopsis for ‘Christmas’ reads:
“As the holidays approach, Mindy wonders if Danny is about to propose, and a case of mistaken identity leads Morgan on the perfect date in the all-new ‘Christmas’ episode of The Mindy Project airing Tuesday, December 9 at 9:30 on Fox.”
Mindy asks her friend Jessica (guest star Julia Stiles) if she is interested in being set up with Peter, leading her to date Morgan — hence the case of mistaken identity, mentioned above.
