Parks and Recreation season 7, episode 7, “Donna and Joe” airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. Donna marries half of Key & Peele.

Parks and Rec has officially reached the midpoint of its seventh and final season. To celebrate the midpoint, NBC is allowing it a bit of a breather. There will only be one new episode tonight instead of the usual two. The second half hour will be a repeat of the season’s first episode. Parks and Rec season 7 was designed to have two episodes air each night, but with an odd number of episodes (13), one week had to have just one.

Thankfully, “Donna and Joe” will feature an event big enough to make it feel like an hour: Donna’s wedding. Donna and her beau Joe (Keegan-Michael Key) reunited back in 2014 and apparently things have gone well in the three years that have passed in Pawnee time.

Tonight will also see the return of an old villain turned ally in Jen Barkley, one-time Bobby Newport campaign manager. She has an intriguing offer for Ben and Leslie. Could this foretell the return of Bobby?

Official synopsis for ‘Parks and Rec’ season 7, episode 7 ‘Donna and Joe’:

“Donna and Joe tie the knot, while April attempts to keep the wedding running smoothly. Ron creates an awkward situation between Tom and Lucy. Jen Barkley (Special Guest Kathryn Hahn) arrives at Ben and Leslie’s house with an interesting opportunity.”
