An officer is killed in the line of duty on tonight’s all new Elementary season 3, episode 9. But could Holmes have prevented the crime?

A murder hits close to home when a young officer on highway patrol is ambushed resulting in his death. Sherlock, Watson, and Kitty will work closely with the NYPD on tonight’s Elementary.

Last Week on ‘Elementary’

The case stole the show when the hunt for a nutmeg murderer turned into the search for a crime scene cleaner. A former professional cleaner took his handy work to the bakery aisle and infused a very strong chemical concoction with traces of nutmeg to cover the smell of dissolving bodies. Kitty and Joan have a few good breakthroughs, despite Sherlock’s attempt to speed through the investigation and leave them in awe of his own. In the end, though, it is Kitty’s second glance at a photo that leads them to a family in the contract killing business.

This week on ‘Elementary’

An NYPD officer is killed at the end of his shift in tonight’s Elementary season 3, episode 8, “End of Watch.” The team of Bell, Gregson, Sherlock, Kitty, an Joan, come together to find the man responsible for the killing. But who the murderer is turns out to be only one piece of the puzzle. Upon further investigation of the body, Sherlock discovers that the officer was armed with a toy gun.

Watch a clip from tonight’s episode here:

Sherlock has another matter to deal with regarding his sobriety meetings. Not one to share in the early days of his meetings, he discovers that someone has compromised the sanctity of the space by creating a blog of recovering addicts’ stories. Could this be the catalyst for him to stop attending meetings that was hinted at earlier this year?

Synopsis:
“Holmes and Watson join forces with the NYPD after a police officer is murdered. Also, Sherlock searches for the creator of a “recovery blog” who is posting personal statements he has made in sobriety meetings.”
