Previously on ‘Constantine’…

Things got interesting on last week’s episode of Constantine. John, Chas, and Zed travelled to New Orleans to investigate reports that the dead have been rising — which is never a good thing. John manages to get into a spot of trouble with the law, via Detective Jim Corrigan, who believes it isn’t a coincidence that he’s at the scene of every crime.

Eventually they discover that Papa Midnite’s rituals have been going awry, and they broker an uneasy truce to work together to put a stop to the vengeful spirits. With the blessing of their surviving relatives, they manage to help the spirits pass over, and Papa Midnite offers John a warning. The harbinger of the Rising Darkness will be someone close to him. This week will see Constantine and Chas working together to exorcise a demon from a young child — which will likely bring back some bad memories of that night in Newcastle.
