With so many up and coming stars in Hollywood, it is always nice to talk to somebody whose career is about to take off. Enter Jedidiah Goodacre, the soon to be star of the Disney movie Tomorrowland.

We spoke to Jedidiah about his upcoming role in the top secret film and a couple of other projects. Plus we learn that he is a sweet brother! Check it out below:

Hypable: You have a busy 2015, it looks like!

Jedidiah Goodacre: Yeah I did a lot of work in 2014, so this is like the premiere season for me.

Let’s talk about Tomorrowland!

I going to tread lightly because it’s a very important movie, there’s a lot of important people involved so I don’t want to be giving anything away that I shouldn’t. But I can tell you about my experience. It was really fun to shoot; it’s a very high-concept movie.

Is there a movie you could compare it to?

There really isn’t a movie you can compare it to. Maybe, not sure if this is way too out there, but maybe like a Peter Pan type movie where there is another world that people can’t see that is right there, like Neverland.

Who did you work with primarily on the movie, if you can tell us? Looking at the list there are a ton of actors that I’d like to work with, let alone one of them.

Yeah, primarily I spent a lot of time working around Britt Robertson. She is the lead in the movie and I actually filmed in Spain. I wasn’t that familiar with her before and we were all waiting in the airport to board the plane, and I thought she was one of the crew people, she was so friendly. Just hanging around and having a good time.

I’ve been a big fan of hers since Life Unexpected and a really small movie she did called The First Time, so I would have been very happy to work with her. What did you guys do in Spain? You probably can’t tell me this, but did you do a lot of green screen work or real world kind of filming?

It was a little bit of both. We were outside, in the real world, and there was a lot of blue screen behind us. Just because of the nature of what we were doing, I can’t tell you that haha.

How would you describe the movie to someone who hasn’t heard about it?

There are movies that are out there that I watch that I think, “I wish this would happen to me,” and I think that’s how people are going to feel. You are going to want to be in this land, in this movie, in this reality. You are going to hope that this exists.

We also talked about his two other upcoming projects, Descendants and If There Be Thorns, the third follow up to Flowers in the Attic.

On working on the Disney musical with Kenny Ortega:

There’s more music and dancing in this than I have ever done in my entire life. It was so much fun. Learning from Kenny Ortega is an honor in the first place. It’s for the Disney Channel and I play Chad Charming, son of Prince Charming and Cinderella. Working with Kristen Chenowith was a treat, just wow. When she walks on set, it was like the parting of the Red Sea. She sang a little bit for us live, a true professional. We perform original songs and they are very catchy; they were stuck in my head for weeks after. I found myself doing the dance moves while cooking breakfast.

On If There Be Thorns:

All the main actors are all very down-to-earth people. Heather Graham is very beautiful and working with the director, Nancy Savoca, was a treat. Her vision was very cool and it was a pleasure to work with her.

On what’s next:

Right now getting the interviews and press set up for the current projects, and also getting auditions lined up. I have another movie that is coming out later this year, Monster Trucks, with Rob Lowe and that was a really fun one. It’s another high-concept movie that I can’t really compare it to.

Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?:

My sisters always give me a lot of slack; I’ve said a lot about my brother and I’ve never mentioned them. I was raised by my three older sisters, they were my pack of wolves. They deserve the credit for raising this little mammal.

Are you looking forward to seeing Jedidiah Goodacre in ‘Tomorrowland?
