Check out our interview with TOMORROW X TOGETHER below:

What’s each member’s favorite song on The Dream Chapter: MAGIC?

Soobin: My favorite is “Roller Coaster.” I think that the song and its lyrics have unique charms of their own.

Yeonjun: I like “New Rules.” The guitar rhythms are really fun and I can also relate with the lyrics.

Beomgyu: It is difficult to choose between two tracks so I will share both. First one is “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away).” I love the lyrics, the guitar sound at the background, how the music gets you hyped. The other one is “Can’t We Just Leave The Monster Alive?”

Taehyun: I will pick “20cm” because it is one of my favorite genres, and I have been practicing this genre for quite long.

Huening Kai: I will choose “Can’t We Just Leave The Monster Alive?” I love the harmony of the beats and melody at the start. I also like the part where the acapella goes without the background instruments at the end of the song!

What lessons did you learn from releasing your first album that you wanted to carry going into The Dream Chapter: MAGIC?

TXT: The Dream Chapter: STAR expressed the “happiness and excitement of meeting that someone just like me,” and The Dream Chapter: MAGIC depicts the story of “magical adventures” that boys experience with friends who are different, yet alike. As we continue on a story about “boys chasing their dreams,” you will be able to discover our quality contents.

Can you discuss what it was like going from recording a mini album to a studio album for the first time?

TXT: We are so happy that we can show TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s broadened music spectrum through this first studio album. When we were working on this album, we experienced different music genres, such as slow R&B, Acoustic Pop, Hip Hop and many more. We hope that our fans enjoy our music as much as we enjoyed the process of making it.

It’s only been a matter of months since The Dream Chapter: STAR was released, but it already feels like you’ve all matured greatly. How are you working to convey your journey as you grow up together through your music and other content?

TXT: We think that we still have a lot more to improve. We talk about experiences we go through during our growth through our albums. You will be able to see how our music and performance skills develop from our previous album to The Dream Chapter: MAGIC, so please stay tuned for our upcoming content!

The concept images for Arcadia look so dark compared to Sanctuary. Can you talk about the difference in themes and how these are shown in the songs on The Dream Chapter: MAGIC?

TXT: Both concepts have school as the setting, with each depicting day and night. The Dream Chapter: MAGIC encapsulates the magical moments of the boys dreaming of a breakaway. Just how the concept photo shows different sides of us, you will be able to find different and unique charms.

Your concept trailer was intense! Can you talk about what it was like practicing for and filming the trailer and the first music video for The Dream Chapter: MAGIC?

TXT: Shooting the music video and concept trailer was an unforgettable memory. Especially, the shooting process of the concept trailer was so interesting. We remember that the three-dimensional graphic effects were visualized through Projection Mapping and the dynamic choreography created an illusion as if we are inside a surreal, magical world. We were so surprised to see the result! It looked like we were really doing magic! And thankfully, our fans also loved it.

Your dance style relies so much on team work and synchronization; can you discuss how you’re able to work so well together to pull of these stunning routines?

TXT: We practice a lot and work really hard to show you our best performance. We also constantly give each other feedback and we think that has helped us improve as a team. We will continue to work hard to show you our best selves. Please look forward to the performances of this new album!

It’s been interesting watching the magical word of the TXT Universe. What’s your favorite thing about the storytelling in your songs and music videos?

TXT: We want to tell you about our lead single “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away).” The title of the track is quite long and unique, so many people have been curious about this. We think this song shows TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s unique color very well. The song refers to a special place that is open only to our friends. When in despair, we can hold each other’s hands and go to a special place together. As it evokes happy, heart fluttering moments, we hope that the listeners can relate to the song.

Your first showcase in the U.S. sold out quickly, and all of the shows looked amazing. What are your goals for the next time you’re able to tour in the U.S.?

TXT: Our first U.S. showcase tour was an amazing experience and we were so happy to meet our fans. If we get a chance, we definitely want to meet more fans and perform on major U.S. award shows as well. Yet, always our goal is to show best performances on stage!
