The CW’s new series The Tomorrow People has added a member of the original British series in a pivotal role.

Nicholas Young, who originally played John Young, will portray Aldus Crick. Crick’s character is a scientist who “first discovered and studied the first generation of the Tomorrow People,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Robbie Amell’s character Stephen Jameson believes that Crick has information pertaining to his father’s disappearance. After all, the two were close friends. Due to helping Stephen, Aldus outs himself to the authorities once more and places himself in danger again.

Young is said to have a recurring role, but it is unclear how many episodes he will appear in beyond the two he is already slated for.

Young is famous for originating the role of John Young, who is now to be played by Luke Mitchell. Mitchell has primarily appeared in Australian series such as Neighbors, H20: Just Add Water, and most recently Home and Away.

The character of John Young was seventeen and led the Tomorrow People as an inventor and scientist. He appeared in all of the episodes of the British television series.

The Tomorrow People premieres Wednesday October 9 at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.
