David S. Pumpkins, the hit Halloween character from last season of SNL, is returning to television.

Update (September 28): NBC has announced a half-hour animated special called The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special, airing at 11:30 PM on Saturday, October 28. The network says Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan will reprise their roles alongside David S. Pumpkins himself, Tom Hanks. Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage also has a role. A first look is below:

Original story (September 15): It may be 80 degrees in New York City today, but that doesn’t mean SNL isn’t planning their Halloween themed episodes in the coming weeks.

This week, Tom Hanks, who hosted last season and debuted the classic character David S. Pumpkins, tweeted a photo of a script including stage directions. Check out the pic below.

It looks like David S. Pumpkins will be orchestrating a slew of pumpkins in some way in an upcoming episode of SNL. It’s not clear whether the script is for the upcoming season premiere on September 30, which seems a little premature to be bringing back David S. Pumpkins. The script notes that it’s for “The David S. Pumpkins Song,” so it could be that Hanks is recording or filming a digital sketch that will be used later in October. SNL usually brings in their Halloween sketches in the episode closest to the holiday.

Alec Baldwin mentioned recently in an interview with CNN that he would indeed be returning to SNL this season as Donald Trump, though not on as recurring of a basis as he appeared last season.

Season 43 of SNL premieres Saturday, September 30 with host Ryan Gosling and musical guest Jay-Z.
