Tom Cruise was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the two embarked on some terrific, Mission: Impossible-style Mad Lib Theater.

With promotions for Mission: Impossible Fallout in full swing, Tom Cruise stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to help get fans excited. As usual, Jimmy Fallon didn’t just want to sit and chat about Cruise’s movie, but he also got the actor to play some games. Namely, they played Fallon’s iconic game, Mad Lib Theater with a bit of a Mission: Impossible spin.

Cruise and Fallon worked together to create a delightful Mad Lib script using random words like pollywog, phrases like little cookie, and of course song lyrics like poopity scoop (file that under “things I didn’t realize I needed to hear Tom Cruise say out loud until now”). With their expert script in hand, the two managed to create an espionage adventure unlike anything Ethan Hunt or any Mission: Impossible film had ever seen before: rescuing a kidnapped aunt and wrangling up a ransom of over a million sofas.

Watch the tale below and revel in the thrills of living room furniture-based espionage.

As is pretty par for the course for any bit with Jimmy Fallon, it didn’t take long for laughter to break out. And though Fallon definitely laughed during the skit, in a shocking turn of events it was actually Tom Cruise to break first as Fallon uttered his first line, “Good evening, my little cookie.” Cruise spent most of the skit trying to hide his laughter over the truly ridiculous script, which we totally get.

It was a truly fun way to build anticipation for Mission: Impossible Fallout, and we hope that Cruise returns to The Tonight Show soon to give us another installment in this thrilling saga.
