It looks like a To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is one step closer to getting greenlit!

Update (December 19): It’s official! Netflix has announced that the sequel to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, titled P.S. I Still Love You, is officially in development, with Lana Condor and Noah Centineo set to return. Check out the announcement below:

Original Story (November 27): There’s no denying that Netflix struck gold when they decided to adapt author Jenny Han’s bestselling novel, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

Since the rom com made its debut in August, fans have been begging for Netflix to get on board with greenlighting a sequel.

After all, as book readers know, Han’s novel is actually the first installment of a trilogy. Other books in the series include P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean.

Now, it looks as though fans may just be getting their wish.

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before director Susan Johnson took to Instagram on Tuesday (November 27) to share some pretty great news with fans far and wide.

“Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Thanks for the support, everyone! It’s all you!”

The post seems to be confirming that a sequel is definitely happening, however it looks as though Johnson may have jumped the gun with her announcement. The director has since removed the post.

In an effort to clear things up, Variety reached out to Netflix for comment at which point a representative clarified that while the sequel has not been confirmed, the online streaming giant is seriously discussing the possibility of moving forward with it.

“The sequel is not confirmed, we are purely in discussions,” said the representative.

It looks like we’ll have to wait just a bit longer for official confirmation. Even so, it’s great to know that Netflix is definitely listening to the many voices clamoring for the company to continue Lara Jean’s story.

Hopefully the the passionate fanbase is enough to convince them that moving forward with a To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is a great idea!
